Concept and residents

The international residency programme, which was founded in 2007, is one of the key parts of the MeetFactory's dramaturgical concept. The programme is based on two pillars: residencies of foreign artists in our country and exchange programmes (reciprocal residencies). MeetFactory has a 3500 m2 space with 15 studios on the first floor of the building. Each year it provides them for residencies for up to 15 foreign artists. International residencies of artists focused on visual arts are the basis. Over the years, MeetFactory has had the honor of hosting artists from different parts of the world. MeetFactory grasps art in a unique way and therefore the residency program wants to open up to themes and ideas related to the identity of Central Europe. We are currently working on a project that combines contemporary political issues, cultural studies and the speculative possibilities of art.

The residency program collaborates with the following institutions:

  • Matadero Madrid

  • ArtPort Tel Aviv

  • Morpho Antwerpen

  • KAIR Košice

  • Goyki 3 Art Inkubator Sopot

  • MGLC International Centre of Graphic Arts Ljubljana

  • L’école supérieure d'arts et médias de Caen – Cherbourg

  • Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium Prague

  • Embassy of Switzerland Prague
